Immigration Reform Injunction Stands

The battle over President Obama’s Executive Actions are still full speed ahead. The district court judge who placed an injunction on the implementation of the Executive Actions in question refused to lift the injunction contrary to the request of the White House. Earlier this year twenty-six states filed in district court following President Obama’s announcement regarding his Immigration Reform via Executive Action. The States argue that the President unilaterally overreached in his authority and violated the U.S. Constitution. The government has sought appeal of the District Courts decision with the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
