In State Tuition in Arizona for DACA Recipients

Immigrants in Arizona protected under President Obama’s deferred deportation executive action (DACA) are now eligible for in-state tuition at three of the public universities within that state. The attorney general in Arizona argued that although these immigrants had received work authorization it did not entitle them to a lower cost of tuition. However, the boards at the aforementioned universities disagreed stating that since their presence is legal under Obama’s executive action they should be able to access affordable education.
